Eastwood in my opinion is one of the lesser know jewels of East Orlando. Besides Stoneybrook East, Eastwood is one of the 2 communities that can boast that is has a true gated community. The Preserve of Eastwood actually has a 24 hour manned gate. The Preserve is located at the far east end of the community and acts as a single entry point / gated community for a little more than 650 homes of the 2000 + homes in the community.

Eastwood also enjoys the appearance of large areas of green space, thanks to the Eastwood Golf Course that winds through the community. Despite being a public course, it often is well manicured and has recently enhanced by the new owners who have given the clubhouse a new facelift and minor expansion. Eastwood also has a very active landscaping committee that recently has transplanted many trees throughout the community and placed them along Golfway Boulevard that runs through the community.
